Warranty, Tech support, Returns, Android:

No return policy:

Smart Level has a no refund, no return policy. We stand behind our levels with a 1 year warranty. If a level is found to have a manufacturing defect SL will repair or replace the level at our option. 

It is the customer’s responsibility to evaluate the level and determine if this instrument is suited to their application. If the potential customer has any questions they can call or email SL, or visit one of our distributors for a hands on demo. For the distributor nearest you call or email.  SL exhibits trade shows nationwide as well as provides demos for trade groups, professional associations, franchises, etc. for just this purpose. 

Warranty:

Smart Level warrants high-precision construction altimeters against defects in material or workmanship at no charge, for a period of 90 days, from date of purchase. Beyond the 90 days, components are pro-rated for a period of one (1) year, from date of purchase. If a problem arises, the user is first instructed to contact Smart Level for technical assistance. If determined, by Smart Level there is a valid problem, the user will need to return the level to Smart Level for further review. Upon inspection Smart Level will, at our option, repair or replace any defective components as is warranted at our discretion. If the level is determined to be damaged by the user, Smart Level will notify the user of any charges, before repairs are made, or Smart Level is returned.

*Filling the level with any fluid other than that specified by Smart Level will void the warranty. *

*Disclaimer*

In an emergency Johnson & Johnson baby oil can be substituted for our factory oil. Make sure it is Johnson & Johnson baby oil (must match the viscosity and specific gravity) and NO other oil will work. If any other oil is used it WILL cause system malfunction and WILL VOID our warranty.

There is a minimum $99.50 service charge on levels which are not covered by warranty.

Tech Support:

Most simple questions can be handled with a quick phone call or email. However, in certain cases where more in-dept troubleshooting is required the customer may be required to provide a short video of the operation of the level and their application. Videos greatly reduce the time and effort required to troubleshoot more complex issues. 

Android: 

Not all functions are available in android.

The Smart Level System was designed to operate in conjunction with IOS/Apple devices. We have certain advanced functions available in Android, however it is the customer’s responsibility to understand the limitations of Android devices.

Android does have Image Mapping. This works differently than IOS in that android image mapping not only creates a jpg image with the readings dropped in, but also creates the X,Y,Z csv coordinates for upload into CAD. This does require a photo/image which can be taken with a mobile phone, drone, satellite image, etc. 

Android does not have AU, Augmented Reality. This is the ability to measure with your phone as you walk.
